Onica Kuhlmann
Onica Kuhlmann, Chief Executive Officer

Onica Kuhlmann, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ink Intervention, is a licensed aesthetician, certified phlebotomist, and trained laser tattoo removal specialist. She is also a certified permanent makeup artist and the owner of Skin Deep Esthetics in Colorado Springs.
With over seven years of service in the Colorado Department of Corrections, Onica brings a deep understanding of rehabilitation, structure, and community reintegration. Her experience as an armed transport officer, drill instructor, housing and security officer strengthened her commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers and rebuild their lives. She currently continues to serve in law enforcement, further reflecting her dedication to public safety and community impact.
At Ink Intervention, Onica leads as the organization’s primary laser technician, overseeing treatment protocols, equipment serviceability, and trauma-informed care practices. A skilled and ambitious entrepreneur, she has completed more than 900 hours of specialized training in esthetics, combining her professional expertise with her passion for empowerment, confidence, and opportunities.

Brian Parsons, Executive Director of Operations

Brian Parsons, our co-founder and Executive Director of Operations, is a former United States Marine, author, journalist, non-profit manager, and former corrections professional. After serving honorably in the Marine Corps, he served the Colorado Department of Corrections for 15 years as a support trades supervisor, housing Sergeant, housing Lieutenant, drill instructor, defensive tactics instructor, use of force instructor, ASHI instructor, Mental Health Peer Assistant Program supervisor, curriculum developer, and served on multiple multi-disciplinary boards. He was a contributing columnist to Addicted2Success in addition to publishing a leadership book series in 2022, which was featured on numerous podcasts, news media stations, and publications. He spends his off-time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity build sites and Care and Share Food Banks of Southern Colorado, and is a vigorous special needs advocate. In addition to being an inductee of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with a specialization in digital marketing from Colorado State University and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in journalism from Harvard Extension School.

Candi Hegenbart, MS, Chief Financial Officer

Candi is a seasoned and innovative professional with extensive experience in business development, nonprofit organizations, advocacy work, and tax planning. With a passion for helping individuals and organizations thrive, Candi has worked with both for-profit businesses and nonprofit entities to streamline operations, enhance sustainability, and drive impactful social change. She served as a CSPD Victim Advocate for 4 years and as a member of the Board of Advisors for the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region for 6 years. In addition to her volunteerism, Candi serves as President and CEO of Red Rock Tax & Advisory Group in Colorado Springs, holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Global Business Management from University of Phoenix, a  Master of Science in Business Management and Project Management from Colorado Technical University, and is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Business Administration, Management, and Operations at University of Phoenix. 

Gina Parker, Advisory Board

Gina Parker  is the founder and owner of Vanity Aesthetics and a passionate advocate for helping individuals regain confidence and create new opportunities for their future. As a licensed nurse and licensed esthetician with more than 10 years of experience in the medical aesthetics industry, Gina has dedicated her career to empowering others through compassionate, patient-centered care. Through her partnership with Ink Intervention, Gina is committed to helping formerly incarcerated individuals remove gang-related and other unwanted tattoos that may serve as barriers to employment, housing, and personal growth. She believes tattoo removal can be a powerful tool in supporting rehabilitation, reintegration, and second chances. Known for her ability to make people feel comfortable and respected, Gina approaches every client with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help them move forward with confidence. Her mission is not only to transform appearances but to support meaningful life transformations that create brighter futures for the individuals and communities she serves.

Claudia Contreras, Advisory Board

Claudia Contreras is the owner of Colorado Cleansing, LLC. Claudia has built Colorado Cleansing on the belief that a clean space creates peace of mind. Today, the company proudly provides residential, commercial, property management, post-construction, and window cleaning services throughout Colorado. Her work and dedication have earned recognition in the Colorado Springs Business Journal, and Colorado Cleansing has had the privilege of serving a variety of respected clients, including the Broadmoor World Arena. Beyond cleaning, Claudia is passionate about creating opportunities for others. She strives to build a company that invests in people by encouraging personal growth, teaching business and financial knowledge, and helping employees develop skills that can create lasting opportunities both professionally and personally. At Colorado Cleansing, every project is completed with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care because earning trust is just as important as delivering exceptional results. Caludia serves as an Advisory Board member for Ink Intervention specializing in her unique insights on reintegration, building successful businesses, and creating positive and productive community relationships.
